Foundations of Practice: Classical Hatha Yoga Course with Narayan

This 5-week course is an introduction to core fundamentals of yoga practice and proceeds differently than the regular drop-in classes. Our goal will be to give an overview of a systematic, holistic yoga practice together with theory in a workshop style, giving everyone a chance to be guided individually and with special care. Sessions are progressive. Students will become more adept at what they are studying and understand what ‘progress’ may look like step-by-step. Weekly training guides will be assigned.

The course meets once a week for 5 weeks on Sunday mornings 10:30am - 12:15pm at the dynamic Peninsula Self Defense, the only official Jean Jaques Machado Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy affiliate school in the San Francisco Bay Area offering world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction in a 5400 square foot facility in the heart of the Silicon Valley.

The course introduces techniques and concepts that will give a solid footing for the absolute beginner but also benefit a more experienced yoga practice that may be lacking structure and integration.
